Many settlers moved west to establish a new life in the untamed wilderness of the Great Plains. One of the main symbols of these early pioneers of the Kansas prairies were the wooden barns which were utilized for safe havens for livestock and storage of commodities. Many of these original wooden barns are still scattered throughout Kansas today. It is our pleasure to bring a "Piece of the Prairie" to your home. Each authentic barnwood sign was collected from one of these historic farmsteads and comes ready to hang on your wall. On the back of each sign is a short description from where the sign was collected in Kansas.
